Meet the Los Angeles Team Behind Tilehurst Roofing Los Angeles

Roofing in LA is a different animal than it is in Cleveland or Phoenix. We deal with blistering sun on asphalt shingles, the occasional Santa Ana wind event that tests every ridge cap and piece of flashing we’ve installed, and older hillside homes where the decking underneath has seen decades of dry heat. The crew at Tilehurst Roofing Los Angeles knows all of that, because most of our people have been on roofs across this city for a decade or more. What unites us is simple: Greg Holloway doesn’t hire anyone he wouldn’t trust on his own mother’s house. Every name below shows up in a uniform, passes a background check, and signs off on one standard before they ever step onto a ladder. That standard is The Kingswell Way: say the price before the work, show up in the window we gave, leave the place cleaner than we found it, put the guarantee in writing, and come back if it fails.

Our People

Greg Holloway, Owner

Greg Holloway runs the Los Angeles location of Tilehurst Roofing the way he’s run jobs since he got into this trade: measure twice, write everything down, and never ask a customer to sign something he wouldn’t sign himself. Greg’s the one who makes sure the written price is in the homeowner’s hands before any work starts, and he’s the one who signs the written guarantee on every repair before the crew leaves the property. He’s been through enough LA summers to know which materials hold up on a south-facing slope, and he’ll tell you straight if a certain underlayment is worth the money or if you’re better off putting that budget into upgraded flashing. Greg lives in the city, works in the city, and has a standing rule that every call to the Los Angeles office gets answered by a live person, day or night, including weekends.

Marco V., Lead Technician

Marco has been doing residential roof repair in Los Angeles for nearly twenty years, and he’s the guy other technicians call when a leak isn’t where it should be. His specialty is chasing down water intrusion through valley flashing, pipe boots, and the drip edge on older homes from the 1930s and 1940s in Mid-City and West Adams, where nothing is square and everything deserves a second look. He holds certifications with GAF and CertainTeed, which means he’s trained on the installation specifications those manufacturers actually stand behind. Marco is the first one up the ladder on most of our re-roofs, and he keeps a small notepad in his back pocket to mark every piece of decking that needs replacement before the new underlayment goes down.

Dana R., Senior Installer

Dana is our lead hand on full roof replacement projects, and she’s the one making sure every row of shingles nails down straight, every ridge cap sits tight, and the synthetic underlayment gets protection against LA sun before the material goes over it. She’s certified in installation with Owens Corning, IKO, and Atlas systems, so she can step between different manufacturer specs without missing a beat. Dana started as an apprentice and worked her way up through tear-offs, re-decking, and eventually full replacements, which means she’s seen the difference between a quick patch job and a roof that stays right for twenty years. She’s also known around the crew for keeping the job site so clean at the end of the day that homeowners sometimes ask if we’ve even been there.

Paul J., Service Coordinator

Paul is the voice on the living-room end of the phone, and he’s the reason you don’t get shunted to a voicemail at 6:00 on a Sunday evening. His job is scheduling, which means he juggles permits, material deliveries, and seven different manufacturer ordering systems, and he’s been doing it for over a decade. If you call about water coming through a bedroom ceiling on a Tuesday morning, Paul is the one who gets the first available technician to your address, tells you what time the crew will arrive, and sends the confirmation. He knows the LA building permit process for roofing projects well enough to tell you whether your project needs one and roughly how long the city will take to process it. Off the phone, Paul is the one keeping the written price forms organized so that every homeowner walks into the job with a number on paper before a single shingle comes off.

Tony M., Apprentice

Tony is the youngest member of our Los Angeles crew, an apprentice working under Marco on repairs and under Dana on full replacements. He is learning the trade the right way: starting with tear-off, flashing, and underlayment, and earning the harder work, not being handed it before he’s proven he can do it safely. Tony is currently studying for his first manufacturer certification, and he’s already logged hundreds of hours on Los Angeles roofs, including some steep hillside pitches in Echo Park and Mount Washington that most first-year workers never see. Ask him what he likes about the job and he’ll tell you the bit about leaving a place cleaner than we found it is more satisfying than it sounds.

One Standard, Every Job

Every Tilehurst Roofing location operates independently under the Kingswell Guarantee, and our Los Angeles team holds to it on every job, from a small flashing repair in Los Feliz to a full replacement in Tarzana. The written price goes to the homeowner before any work starts. The written guarantee goes to the homeowner before the crew leaves. And if a repair fails inside the 365-Day Done Right Promise, we come back at no charge. That is not a slogan on a truck. It’s the reason we carry material options from GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, IKO, Atlas, Tamko, and Boral instead of whatever is sitting in the back of a warehouse. The product should fit the home. The crew should be people you can name. The price should never change after it’s on paper. Our people, the ones above and the rest who join them on rooftops across the city, sign on to that standard every morning. If you have questions about your roof or want a written estimate for a repair or replacement, call the Los Angeles office at (213) 674-2890. A live person answers around the clock.
